This song is about the sadness and depression I often experience after traveling or touring. It's about the disconnect and isolation I often feel when coming home after experiencing something that was so beautiful and amazing, but feeling as though I have no one to share it with.

I feel the distance every time I fly away
I see the world and nothings quite the same
It’s my problems and how I hope they fade
Transcend themselves and dissipate away

Why do I expect to find something more
Chasing fool’s gold on all the shores
I expect some type of change
But I see myself running in place

I’m in a room filled with old Christmas lights
I felt home here before, but not anymore
I’ll drink so much I will feel the warmth
